- -"Les voleurs de Job" takes a sober and intelligent look at the work reality, aspirations and relationships that immigrants of Greek, Italian, Haitian, Portuguese or Spanish origin have with the local population of Montreal (In Canada). Leaving the floor to those who usually do not have the means to make their voices heard, the film takes the opposite tack to the prejudice that gives it its title: without didacticism, the filmmaker allows these workers to exist beyond their low-paying jobs in restaurants or sewing workshops, beyond the nights spent driving taxis or the days spent painting buildings or doing housework. The result is still relevant and topical despite the passage of time, as immigrants are still too often the convenient scapegoat for all of society's ills.
